Stats Lab ("we", "our", or "the App") is a basketball analytics platform that helps coaches and teams track game statistics, manage playbooks, and analyze player performance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• Team & Player Data: Team names, player names, jersey numbers, positions, and game statistics that you voluntarily enter.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used and crash reports, to improve performance.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and support purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core features (stat tracking, playbooks, analytics).
• To authenticate your account and keep your data secure and isolated from other users.
• To send important account-related notifications (e.g., password resets).
• To improve the App's features, performance, and user experience.

Data Security & Isolation

Your data is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS), ensuring that only you can access the teams, players, games, and playbooks you create. We do not share your data with other users unless you explicitly choose to share a playbook. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings menu within the App. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

AI Features & Data Sharing

The App offers optional AI-powered features (Coach Agent, Live Coach Chat, AI Game Breakdown, and Shot Form Analyzer). These features are disabled until you explicitly consent within the App. When you use them, the following data may be sent to third-party AI providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google — processed securely through the Base44 platform:

• Team and player names, jersey numbers, and positions you have entered
• Game scores, statistics, and play-by-play events
• Messages you type into AI chat features
• Photos or videos you choose to upload for analysis

This data is used solely to generate the AI responses you request. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. These providers are contractually required to protect your data with the same or equivalent safeguards described in this policy. You can decline or simply not use AI features — all core stat-tracking features work without them.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services for authentication (Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In), payment processing (Stripe), and optional AI features (see "AI Features & Data Sharing" above). These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information. We do not sell or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Children's Privacy

The App is designed for coaches and team managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Player data entered into the App is managed by the account holder (coach/manager) and is not directly collected from players.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data. You can export or delete your data directly through the App's settings. If you have questions about your data, contact us using the information below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated revision date.
